Does the Borough have regulations governing rental properties?

 

Effective May 10, 2010, Ordinance #331 adopts the 2009 Edition and future updated editions of the International Property Maintenance Code regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all rental property, both residential and commercial, located within Milesburg Borough.  This includes buildings and structures and provides standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary, and fit for occupation and/or use.  It provides for condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy and use and the demolition of such existing structures located within Milesburg Borough.  It also provides for the issuance of permits and collection of fees.  This ordinance also covers regulations for weeds and provides boarding standards for all vacant properties located within Milesburg Borough.  Contact Williams Inspection Agency at (814) 342-0281.

Milesburg Borough performs brush and leaf collection spring and fall of each year.  If you have need for a special collection due to storm damage or tree removal, contact the borough office at (814) 355-3583.
